go ahead, judge a book by its cover, i do it all the time and i'm still alive
On my way back from Oklahoma, my family and I stopped in Kansas to have lunch with my aunt, my dad's sister who was a lawyer but now a supreme court judge. My aunt lives with her "partner", who is not to be mistaken for a woman, the partner is indeed a man, an accomplished physicist and retired math professor. Anyway, we were sitting in the dining room having lunch and I noticed one wall of their dining room is consumed by a bookshelf, crammed with books. I thought this was sooooo cool, until I realized I grew up with the exact same set up. Only, these people have books with stimulating titles like Nuclear Physics, The Sex Atlas, and Are You There Vodka? It's Me Chelsea, plus a compilation of other intriguing titles that make you a divinely interesting individual. In my parents house they have one shelf dedicated to a different series, Nancy Drew, The Babysitters Club, Trixie Beldon, and endless upon endless numbers of romance novels and bibles. In short, I hope my book titles are more engaging when I finally have a book shelf.
